WV State Penitentiary

Just about every ghost hunting show on TV has been to this location. Located in Moundsville, WV (about four hours from me!), it's reputed to be one of the most haunted locations in the US. The town was named for the Grave Creek Mound, which is the focal point of the area. The mound is one of the largest conical type burial grounds in the US. I've never been, but they do offer ghost tours (day for the chickens like me and night), group tours, and overnight tours. They also have a haunted house attraction, as if the places isn't creepy enough, lol! I really would like to go some day and the drive isn't too far.

I have watched ghost hunters a few times that was on a&e i think it was and really enjoyed the show. I believe I have seen that epsiode with that in there and it did look pretty scary!! I would like to check a place like that out BUT not sure if I would do it as a night visitor or not!!! LOL...I quess I believe TOO MUCH that would be why I would be thinking twice to going at night!!

But once again thanks for sharing that and if I ever get down around there, I would def have to check that out!!
